Mayer Mint?
 

I'm thinking of buying a 1 oz gold coin from an auction - Endangered Wildlife series...does anyone know of these coins and the mint company Mayer Mint in Germany? http://www.mayermint.com

How easy do you think it will be to trade out, and relevant to spot, what do you think you're going to get for it?

I think I will be able to get it at around spot price $925 (if not even less) - but as you said: I'm not sure about the premium - I consider it an investment in gold (not so much the coin in itself)

Buy a maple leaf or k-rand....

The Mayer item will net you less than spot by 4-6% when you need to sell.

Today at the local shop I saw a 1 oz silver art bar (xmas scene i think) with mayer mint on the back.
